The Kotap ADPTRS1012 is an Alliance Super Duty Tarp measuring 10' x 12', supplied in silver. It is a poly tarpaulin built to a 14x14 weave at 10 mil gauge, with plastic corner sleeves.

The step up from economy grade is not marginal. Where an economy utility tarp runs an 8x8 weave at 4.5 mil, this tarp uses nearly double the thread count and more than double the thickness. The higher weave count resists tearing and stops a small puncture from running into a split; the heavier gauge gives a tougher coating that stands up to abrasion, flexing in the wind, and repeated folding.

Plastic corner sleeves address the point where tarps actually fail. Corners take the concentrated load from every tie-down, and on a light tarp that is where a grommet pulls through and the cover starts unravelling. The reinforced sleeve spreads that load.

Silver poly is the standard finish for the heavier grades and reflects rather than absorbs sunlight, which keeps the covered space cooler than a dark tarp would.
