Construction is an 8x8 weave at 4.5 mil gauge — the economy specification in poly tarpaulins. The weave count gives the tarp its tear resistance and the mil gauge its thickness and water barrier; at 8x8 and 4.5 mil the result is a light, flexible cover that one person can spread and fold, priced for use rather than preservation.
