The Kotap ADPTRA1824 is an Alliance Economy Utility Tarp measuring 18' x 24', supplied in blue and built as a homeowner's utility poly tarpaulin.

The tarp is an 8x8 weave at 4.5 mil gauge. In poly tarpaulins those two figures define the grade: thread count per square inch drives tear resistance, and mil thickness drives the water barrier and general robustness. 8x8 / 4.5 mil is the economy end — deliberately light, so the tarp handles and folds easily and can be bought for a job rather than a decade.

Polyethylene construction is waterproof by nature. It does not absorb moisture, and it will not rot or mildew if it is stored damp, which is the realistic condition most tarps are stored in.

At 18' x 24' this is a large-format cover: equipment and machinery, vehicle and boat covering, hay and material stacks, roof and scaffold weather protection, and full-room drop cloth duty for painting or demolition.
