The Kotap ADPTRA2040 is an Alliance Economy Utility Tarp measuring 20' x 40', in blue — the largest size in the economy poly tarpaulin range, built to an 8x8 weave and 4.5 mil gauge.

At 800 square feet this is a bulk-coverage tarp. It is specified for jobs measured by footprint rather than by object: covering large material and lumber stacks, hay and feed, yard equipment, a boat or multiple vehicles, a roof or building section under temporary weather protection, or a large floor area for painting, demolition, and abatement work.

The 8x8 weave and 4.5 mil gauge are the economy specification in poly tarpaulins — the weave count driving tear resistance and the mil figure the thickness and water barrier. The trade-off is deliberate: the tarp stays light enough to handle and fold at this size, and inexpensive enough to be used as a working consumable.

Polyethylene is waterproof by construction and will not absorb water, rot, or mildew when stored damp.

Users include general contractors, roofers, agricultural and landscaping operations, movers, painters, and event and site crews.

Be realistic about grade at this scale. A 20' x 40' tarp presents a large sail area, and economy poly is intended for temporary and intermittent covering, not months of staked exposure.
