The Kotap ADPTRA2030 is an Alliance Economy Utility Tarp in a 20' x 30' size, blue, constructed as a poly tarpaulin in the homeowner's utility class with an 8x8 weave and 4.5 mil gauge.

This is one of the largest sizes in the economy range. A 20' x 30' tarp is bought for area: covering a vehicle or boat, a large material or lumber stack, hay, equipment on a yard, a roof section after storm damage, or a substantial floor for painting and demolition work.

The 8x8 weave and 4.5 mil gauge define the grade. The weave count sets tear resistance, the mil figure sets thickness and the strength of the water barrier, and this specification is the light, economical end of the scale — easy for one or two people to spread and fold, and inexpensive enough to be treated as a working consumable.

Polyethylene is waterproof by construction, does not absorb water, and will not rot or mildew when stored damp — the main practical failure mode of canvas.

Specify with the exposure in mind. At this size a tarp catches significant wind load, and economy poly is built for temporary and intermittent covering rather than months staked out in the weather.
