S-Line SLISL91 Ratchet STRAP-4PK

The S-Line SLISL91 is a 4 pack of ratchet straps, 1 inch x 15 ft, general purpose, with a padded handle and compact coated S-hooks.

At 1 inch this is a light-duty strap and it is worth being clear about what that means, because 1 inch straps get used for jobs that need 2 inch.

Strap width tracks capacity directly. A 1 inch general purpose strap is for the loads people actually secure in a pickup bed or a van — furniture, equipment, motorcycles, ladders, materials. It is not a flatbed strap, and using four of them because four is what was in the pack does not equal a properly rated assembly.

The coated S-hooks are the tell. A coated hook is designed not to scratch what it touches, which places this squarely in the consumer and light commercial range rather than on a rub rail.

The padded handle is the other one: a comfort feature, because a 1 inch ratchet does not need the leverage a 2 inch one does.

Note that no working load limit is stated. That is the specification a strap is chosen on, and it should be on the listing — federal cargo securement rules are written in terms of aggregate WLL, and a strap with no stated rating cannot be counted toward it.
