DiversiTech 35W Clockwise 115V UB Motor 65020

The DiversiTech 65020 is a 35 watt, 115 volt clockwise rotation unit bearing motor for evaporator and condenser fan applications in commercial refrigeration equipment.

A unit bearing motor uses a single elongated sleeve bearing assembly rather than separate bearings at each end, with the shaft supported through a lubricated bearing cartridge. The construction is compact, inexpensive, and well suited to the small fan loads in refrigeration equipment, and it is the standard motor type in walk-in coolers, reach-in cases, and ice machines.

The design does impose a mounting requirement. Unit bearing motors are normally specified for horizontal shaft operation and are lubricated for that orientation; mounting shaft-up or shaft-down outside the manufacturer's stated allowance causes the lubricant to migrate and the bearing to fail early.

Rating in watts rather than horsepower is the convention in this class of motor, reflecting its refrigeration origins.
