CRC CRC03095 Degreaser 20 oz Colorless Aerosol Chlorinated 105

The CRC03095 is a chlorinated-base degreaser in a 20 oz aerosol with a 19 oz net fill, supplied 1 each with 12 per case. It is a colorless liquid with a fast evaporation rate, a specific gravity of 1.58, a VOC content of 123.2, and a KB value of 105.

A KB value of 105 places this at the aggressive end of the solvent range. Kauri-Butanol value measures solvent strength directly — higher numbers dissolve organic soils more readily — and at 105 this product is formulated to cut heavy, aged grease and oil that milder cleaners only soften. That strength cuts both ways: a solvent this capable will attack many plastics, coatings, and elastomers, so compatibility must be confirmed before it touches an assembly.

Chlorinated chemistry delivers high solvent power without flammability, which is why it remains specified for equipment that cannot be de-energised or moved clear of ignition sources.

The hot work restriction is absolute and must be understood. Chlorinated solvent vapour decomposes into phosgene — a highly toxic gas — under the ultraviolet radiation and heat of a welding arc or cutting torch. Parts must be fully dry and vapour fully cleared before hot work. In a fabrication shop, chlorinated degreasers and welding operations require deliberate procedural separation.

The 123.2 VOC content should be checked against regional limits before purchase.
