The CRC03040 is a food grade multi-purpose silicone lubricant in a 16 oz aerosol with a 10 oz net fill, supplied 1 each with 12 per case. It is a clear, water-white liquid.

Food grade is the specification that governs where this product may be used, and it is not a marketing designation. In food processing, lubricants used on equipment where incidental contact with product is possible must be formulated and approved for that exposure. A standard industrial silicone on a conveyor above an open food line is a contamination event; a food grade silicone in the same position is compliant. That distinction determines whether a plant passes an audit.

Silicone is the right chemistry for this role for the same reason it is elsewhere: it lubricates rubber, plastic, and vinyl without attacking them, which is exactly what food processing equipment is full of — belt scrapers, gaskets, seals, plastic chain, guide rails, and slides. A petroleum lubricant swells and degrades those components.

The clear, water-white appearance leaves no staining or visible residue on equipment or packaging.

The same silicone caution applies as elsewhere: nothing adheres to a silicone film, so it must be kept away from surfaces due to be painted, coated, printed, or labelled.
