CRC CRC03038 Grease 16 oz White Cream Aerosol 2 Aluminum Complex 0 to 450 °F

The CRC03038 is a sprayable grease in a 16 oz aerosol with a 10 oz net fill, packaged 1 each with 12 per case. It is an NLGI 2 grease on an aluminum complex base oil, white cream in colour, with a specific gravity of 0.68 and a working temperature range of 0 to 450 °F.

The 450 °F upper limit is what distinguishes this product, and the aluminum complex base is how it gets there. Ordinary lithium greases soften and bleed as temperature climbs, eventually running out of the bearing they are meant to protect. Aluminum complex thickeners hold their structure at temperatures that break down conventional greases, and they carry strong water resistance as a secondary benefit — the combination that makes them standard in wet, hot applications.

NLGI 2 is the grease industry's consistency grade, and 2 is the general-purpose standard — firm enough to stay in place, soft enough to pump and distribute.

The aerosol format is the practical advantage over a cartridge. A grease gun requires a fitting; an aerosol reaches open gears, chains, cables, slides, linkages, and any surface that was never designed to be greased through a zerk.

Applications include high-temperature bearings, open gears, chains, cables, kiln and oven equipment, food and beverage machinery, and general plant maintenance where operating temperatures exceed the range of a conventional lithium grease.
