Unassembled is the specification and it is worth being honest about, because it is the difference between this and the assembled units in the range.

It arrives as parts. Somebody has to build it — the head, the guard, the mount — and that is time, and it is time by somebody who has to do it correctly. A fan guard fitted badly is a guard that a hand can reach past, on a machine with an aluminium blade turning at 1,100 RPM.

What it buys is cost and shipping. An unassembled fan ships in a flat box rather than a large one, and for a facility buying several the saving is real.

Note also the mounting: wall only, where the assembled circulator heads in this range mount to pedestal, wall, I-beam, ceiling, suspension, or pole. That is a significant restriction and it is not a detail — a fan bought for a pole and delivered as a wall unit is a return.

CFM is the number that matters rather than blade diameter. At 6,800 CFM on high, this moves real air.
