The Gorilla Glue GOR106425 is Tough & Wide heavy-duty duct tape, 2.88 inch x 25 yards, in black.

This combines the two specifications that each solve a different problem: extra width for holding power, and black for discretion.

The width is the functional half. At 2.88 inches this tape carries substantially more adhesive area than a standard 1.88 inch roll, and more scrim across its length. That means heavier holds and wider spans in a single pass — which matters because two overlapping strips have a seam between them, and seams are where taped repairs fail first.

Black is the visual half, and in some trades it is not optional. Entertainment, staging, AV, and photography work all specify black tape as standard practice because a silver repair on a black set, a dark cable run, or a stage floor is a distraction the audience can see. The same logic applies on any dark equipment where a repair should not be the first thing anyone notices.

Note the roll length: 25 yards against the 30 yards of a 1.88 inch roll. That is geometry rather than a shortfall — a wider tape yields less length on the same core.
