Description
The ACT ADP14-120-UV-100 is the UV-stabilized version of ACT's 120 lb heavy duty cable tie, packaged 100 per bag for outdoor and exposed installations. It measures 14" long by 0.30" wide, is rated to a 120 lb minimum tensile strength, and handles bundles up to 4.2" in diameter.
The tie is molded from Nylon 66 and finished in black. In cable ties, black is not a cosmetic choice: the pigment is carbon black, which blocks ultraviolet light from reaching the polymer chain and slows the embrittlement that causes untreated nylon ties to crack and fail after prolonged sun exposure. That makes this the correct specification wherever a tie will live outside — rooftop equipment, exterior conduit, solar racking, antenna and tower runs, agricultural equipment, trailers, and marine or dockside installations.
The clamping head design locks against the tie's serrated strap for a positive, vibration-resistant hold, and the tapered tip threads easily so an installer can dress a bundle without a second hand or a tool.
At 120 lb tensile and 0.30" width, this tie sits in the general-purpose heavy duty class: strong enough for gathered conductor bundles, hose and line runs, fencing, signage, and equipment looms, without the bulk of a 175 lb tie.
