Yellow Jacket 4 PLUS2 Hose Set 21984

The Yellow Jacket 21984 is a 4 foot PLUS II charging hose set in blue, red, and yellow.

Valve depressors are worth understanding as part of the hose assembly. Most service ports are Schrader valves, which require a pin to depress the valve core and permit flow. Hoses intended for these ports include a depressor at one end, generally the end with the angled fitting.

The consequence is that hose orientation matters. Connecting the wrong end of a hose to a Schrader port means the valve is never depressed, no flow occurs, and the gauge reads nothing. A technician who has not encountered this concludes the system is empty or the gauge has failed.
