The Lau 60765804 is a fan blade hub with a 1/2 inch bore, supplied for mounting propeller fan blades to motor shafts of that diameter.

Half inch shafts appear on larger fractional and small integral horsepower motors, typically driving the bigger condenser and ventilation fans found in commercial equipment.

As blade size and mass increase, the security of the hub connection becomes more important rather than less.
