Description
The JAZ JAZ78000 is a JAZ USA wire wheel bench brush, 4-1/2 inch crimped wire, .012 inch steel wire, with 5/8"-11 and M14 x 2.0 arbor holes, in a clamshell package.
Two specifications here point the same direction. The wire is crimped rather than knotted, and it is .012 inch — a fine gauge. Both mean this brush is built to clean rather than to strip.
Crimped wire is left as individual wavy filaments rather than twisted into rigid bundles. The filaments flex on contact and sweep the surface. That is a gentler action entirely: it removes light rust, dirt, oxide, and loose material without the aggression that would gouge the work. A knot brush at the same gauge would cut into it.
At .012 inch the wire is fine, reinforcing the same intent. Fine crimped wire is the specification for cleaning up parts, deburring lightly, and preparing surfaces where finish matters — not for mill scale or heavy slag, which need a knot brush.
The dual arbor — 5/8"-11 and M14 x 2.0 — is a practical feature. M14 is the common metric grinder spindle, and a brush accepting both fits imported and domestic tools without an adapter.
Applications include parts cleaning, light deburring, rust removal, and surface preparation.
