The Hart & Cooley 64336 is an FPD3 series steel lay-in ceiling diffuser with a 10 inch round neck and integral R-6 insulated back, finished in white, for a 24 by 24 inch T-bar grid module.

A 10 inch neck carries a substantially higher airflow than the smaller sizes, suiting open plan areas, conference rooms, retail floors, and spaces with significant solar or equipment load where fewer outlets are each handling more air.

At higher airflows the insulated back becomes more consequential rather than less. A larger volume of cool supply air passing through the pan means a greater surface area held below the plenum dew point, and consequently a greater potential for condensation on an uninsulated pan. The R-6 insulation also provides more meaningful attenuation of duct borne noise, and at 10 inch neck airflows there is more noise to attenuate.

The integral construction matches face to pan as an engineered assembly rather than an approximation, controlling leakage at that junction and simplifying installation to a single component.

Throw should be verified against room geometry at this size. A diffuser with excessive throw for the space directs air onto walls or into adjacent patterns; insufficient throw leaves stagnant areas and cold air falling below the outlet.

Applications include commercial offices, retail, education, healthcare, and assembly spaces. Support the assembly independently of the ceiling grid and seal the duct connection.
