At 10 lb this is the small box in the range, and box weight is worth thinking about rather than defaulting to the biggest.

Rags are bought by weight, and the price per pound falls as the box gets bigger. But a 50 lb box is a large object that has to live somewhere, and rags sitting in a corner of a workshop for two years accumulate dust, damp, and whatever is spilled near them. For a small operation, a van, or a department that gets through a few pounds a month, the small box is the one that gets used while it is still clean.

Colour rags are the mixed grade — reclaimed coloured garments rather than sorted whites. They cost less and they carry a risk worth stating: dye transfer. The general reclaimed-rag caveats apply: inconsistent sizing, occasional seams or hardware, and lint that rules them out of painting and coating work.
