The Fasco 1-6141 is a 4 inch diameter, 1-1/2 inch wide blower wheel supplied as a replacement component for small centrifugal blower assemblies in HVAC equipment, draft inducers, and OEM fan applications.

A blower wheel of this size is used where a compact centrifugal fan must produce moderate pressure at low airflow, which is the requirement in draft inducer assemblies, small ventilation blowers, and equipment cooling fans. The forward-curved blade form typical of this construction produces relatively high airflow for a given wheel diameter, and it is the standard blade geometry in HVAC blower service.

Wheels in this size class are usually replaced because of imbalance rather than outright failure. A wheel that has lost a balance weight, corroded unevenly, or accumulated deposits on one side will vibrate, and vibration transmitted through the shaft is a common cause of premature motor bearing failure. Replacing the wheel and correcting the cause of the deposit is a more durable repair than replacing the motor alone.

Verify wheel diameter, width, bore diameter, hub position, and rotation direction before ordering. Rotation is determined by blade curvature and cannot be reversed; fitting a wheel of the wrong hand results in greatly reduced airflow with the fan apparently running normally.
