Duro Dyne Condensate Pump 115V VCCA-20ULS

The Duro Dyne VCCA-20ULS is a 115 volt condensate pump with an integral safety switch, supplied for air conditioning and refrigeration applications.

Maintenance is what determines a condensate pump's service life, and the maintenance required is modest.

The reservoir accumulates the same biological growth and debris that affects drain lines, because it holds water at room temperature with a continuous supply of organic material. Left unattended, that accumulation jams the float, fouls the impeller, and eventually blocks the inlet.

An annual clean addresses it. The reservoir is removed and washed out, the float is checked for free movement through its full travel, the inlet and discharge are confirmed clear, and the check valve is inspected.

Testing follows the clean. Pouring water into the reservoir until the pump starts confirms it runs and produces flow. Lifting the float to the safety switch level confirms the equipment shuts down.

That test is worth performing at every service visit rather than annually, since it takes moments and it is the only way to know the safety circuit is intact.

The pump should sit level and be secured. Float mechanisms depend on orientation, and a pump that has been knocked out of level may not switch reliably.

Confirm voltage, flow rate at the required lift, tank capacity, and inlet configuration against the installation. Wire the safety circuit and verify its operation.
