Santa Fe Dehumidifier DEH3000R With Remote Sensor

The Santa Fe 4028407 is a DEH3000R dehumidifier control with remote sensing capability, providing setpoint control and monitoring for compatible Santa Fe dehumidification equipment.

A dedicated dehumidifier control differs from a general purpose humidistat in what it can do. It provides accurate humidity setpoint control, indicates operating status, and communicates with the dehumidifier rather than simply switching it on and off, which allows features such as fan operation between dehumidification cycles and fault indication.

The remote sensing capability is the significant feature. A dehumidifier serving a crawl space, basement, or mechanical room is frequently installed where nobody goes and where the humidity conditions differ from the space that actually matters. Placing the sensor in the conditioned area, while the unit remains in the equipment location, means the system controls to conditions where they are experienced rather than where the machine happens to sit. It also puts the user interface somewhere accessible, so setpoint changes and fault indications are seen.

Sensor placement determines control quality. Locate away from supply air discharge, exterior walls, direct sunlight, and any local moisture source that would misrepresent the space.

Applications include residential and light commercial dehumidification in crawl spaces, basements, whole house systems, and conditioned storage. Verify compatibility with the specific dehumidifier model, as controls are matched to particular equipment generations.
