NAVAC Pressure Probe With Digi NSP1

The NAVAC NSP1 is a digital pressure probe for refrigeration service.

Wireless probes represent a change in how refrigeration measurements are taken. Rather than a manifold with hoses to both sides of the system, individual probes attach at the service ports and transmit readings to a handheld device or a phone application.

The advantages are practical. There is no manifold and no hoses, so there is no refrigerant trapped in hoses to be lost or recovered, and no hose gasket to leak. Setup is faster. And the probes can be left in place while the technician works elsewhere, with readings logged over time.

That logging capability is genuinely useful. Many refrigeration faults are intermittent or develop over a cycle, and readings taken at a single moment miss them. A record over an hour, or a full defrost cycle, shows behaviour a spot check cannot.

The application generally computes superheat and subcooling directly when temperature probes are paired with the pressure probes, removing the arithmetic and the pressure-temperature chart from the process.

Applications include refrigeration and air conditioning diagnosis, charging, commissioning, and monitoring.
