The MCR Safety MCR9381MLH is a pair of cut resistant gloves, Steelcore, medium, white, 7 gauge, white polymer, blue hem, knit wrist, PVC palm and polymer, poly/cotton thread, Prop 65 no.

Steelcore is the specification and it means what it says: a steel filament runs through the yarn. That is a genuinely different approach from the polymer-fibre gloves elsewhere in this range.

Steel is extremely cut resistant — a blade cannot sever a steel wire the way it parts a polymer fibre — and that gives high protection in a knit glove. The trade is real: steel-cored yarn is heavier, less comfortable, and stiffer than Dyneema, and it does not have the cool feel that makes Dyneema wearable for a full shift.

The PVC palm coating is doing a separate job: grip. A bare knit glove has none, and a cut-resistant glove that cannot hold anything gets removed.

The blue hem is a small but real feature. Colour-coded hems let a facility identify a glove's specification at a glance in a bin — which matters when several similar-looking knit gloves with completely different cut ratings live in the same store.
