The Lau 60557801 is a 24 inch counterclockwise rotation, 27 degree pitch, three-wing propeller fan blade for large condenser and ventilation fan applications.
Blades of this size are frequently found on rooftop and remote condensers, where access for service is limited and the cost of returning is high. That changes what is worth doing during a single visit.
Where a technician is already at a rooftop condenser to replace a blade or motor, checking the remaining fan assemblies on the same unit, verifying capacitor values, inspecting the contactor, and cleaning the condenser coil are all inexpensive additions to a visit whose main cost was getting there. Any one of them may prevent a second trip.
The same logic applies to specifying components. On difficult-access equipment, the better-specified motor and the correct blade are easier to justify than on a ground-mounted residential unit.
