Motor running current is the single most useful measurement after any fan blade replacement, because it directly reflects whether the blade and motor are correctly matched.

A reading at or slightly below the motor nameplate figure indicates the pairing is correct. A reading above nameplate indicates the blade is demanding more torque than the motor is rated for, which points to a blade of larger diameter, steeper pitch, or higher wing count than the original, or to a motor set to too low a horsepower tap.
