DiversiTech Ultralite Pad 16X36X3 UC1636-3

The DiversiTech UC1636-3 is an UltraLite composite equipment pad measuring 16 by 36 by 3 inches, providing a rigid base for outdoor mechanical equipment.

The UltraLite construction sits between plastic and poured concrete. It is substantially lighter than a concrete slab of the same dimensions while offering the rigidity and mass of a mineral based pad, which gives it better resistance to flexing under a heavy or unevenly loaded unit than a hollow plastic pad, and better resistance to being displaced.

That additional mass is an advantage where the equipment is heavy relative to the pad area, where the ground beneath is not perfectly uniform, or where the installation is exposed to wind. It is a disadvantage only in handling, and even then the pad remains far lighter than concrete.

The 16 by 36 inch footprint suits narrow equipment, including many mini split condensers, and installations where lateral space is restricted by a walkway, a fence line, or a property boundary.

Subgrade preparation is what determines whether the pad stays level. Excavate to firm ground and bed on compacted gravel across the full pad area; a pad supported only at its ends will rock and eventually crack under load.

Elevation above grade keeps the coil clear of standing water, snow, and ground level debris.

Applications include residential and light commercial condensing units, mini split condensers, heat pumps, and ground mounted equipment.
