DiversiTech Conduit 1/2" 100 750-12100

The DiversiTech 750-12100 is 1/2 inch flexible conduit supplied in a 100 foot length, used to protect and route conductors in equipment and mechanical installations.

Flexible conduit provides mechanical protection for conductors while allowing the raceway to bend around obstacles and absorb movement. In HVAC and refrigeration work it is the standard method for the final connection to equipment that vibrates in operation, for routing through congested mechanical rooms where rigid conduit would require numerous fittings, and for connections that must permit limited equipment movement during service access.

The 1/2 inch trade size is the most commonly used, suiting the conductor counts and sizes typical of equipment connections, control wiring, and small branch circuits.

Compared with a prefabricated whip, bulk conduit gives the installer freedom to set exact lengths, which matters on installations where equipment placement varies or where a standard whip length would leave excessive slack or fall short.

Applications include equipment final connections, condensing unit and air handler wiring, control circuit routing, mechanical room installations, and general commercial and industrial raceway work.

Installation requires attention to several code points. Flexible conduit must be supported at required intervals and within a specified distance of boxes and terminations. Bend radius limits apply, and exceeding them damages conductors and the conduit itself. Whether the conduit can serve as an equipment grounding path depends on its type, length, and the circuit involved; where it cannot, a separate grounding conductor must be pulled. Confirm the conduit type suits the environment, particularly for wet or outdoor locations.
